On September 04, 2009 seller Carlos Ribas released the latest version of "Hours Tracker" (version 1.5.1). If you are a workaholic, or just can't keep track of your time, then this application might just be a good solution for you. "Hours Tracker" can be found on the App Store, under the category Business. This application was developer for iPod touch and iPhone with the third operating system for the iPhone.
If you don't know when to stop working, or if you get paid by the projects you get done, or if you just want to keep track of the long hours you have worked, then give this application a try. "Hours Tracker" supports tracking time worked for multiple jobs. This application can also export every data collected using email in a friendly form and in spreadsheet friendly CSV format. The emails send by "Hours Tracker" are either written with the data retrieved or the emails have the collected data as a file attachment. "Hours Tracker" has an intuitive user interface, designed to look like other pre installed iPhone applications. Every entry from the application is designed to bring up a menu with settings when touched.

Therefore you can filter the entries by date (if you have already turned in a time card for it or otherwise want it removed). You can set up the clock for each job by just touching the clock "button" in the menu. Doing so, "Hours Tracker" will begin displaying details about the time being tracked. These applications will not only keep track of the hours spend at work but will also keep track of the money made.
This application runs in the back of your iPod touch and iPhone, therefore you can use other applications, like make a call, write a note or even turn off your phone or iPod. When you want to finish an entry just select the clock out feature (then all the time spent and money earned will be recorded). You can even summarize time worked by job by using "Review Hours" feature. This feature will also allow you to select how you want to view your results, by day, week or even month. If you work on shifts then "Hours Tracker" is what you need.
The application is fully customizable, allowing you to edit (or delete time worked) the start or end times, the four rate, and even add a comment. Also add to the "Hours Tracker" your previous jobs (before installing the application) or maybe the time you are planning to spend at your next job. Always remember to edit the information about jobs. It is not mandatory but necessary in order for you to get the bigger picture. Very customizable is the way you can see and send the data. Therefore you can customize the email export and then prepare an email message to be sent by the standard Mail application on your iPhone.

You can select the email address, the message subject, and specify data export formats (friendly, CSV data or nothing option for the actual message and the attachment of the email). "Hours Tracker" have a lot of good features: keeps track of time worked, in the same time, for multiple jobs; full edit, delete or add of jobs; different hours rate; allows free form comments; exports data using email in both user and computer friendly; it calculates pay for each job.
The latest upgrade brings new features like setting the pay periods for each job (per week, two weeks or a month), if you are a freelancer you can set the tax percentage and insurances deductions. By doing so, you have a better perspective of what you earn from your jib or projects and how much time and effort you invest. Overall even if you are not a "time is money" person this application is excellent only to see if your current job is worth all the trouble. For only $1.99 you can truly appreciate how much of your earned money, are actually delivered on your card after the taxes and period flat deductions (be careful, the result might impress you not in a good way).
