Changing Manufacturer Support Info in Vista

One of the cool things to do in Vista, although not quite useful, is changing the Manufacturer Support Info, and maybe show your own picture or your company's info in the System Information window. If you're interested in this, then keep reading...
Changing Manufacturer Support

- First of all, open the Registry Editor.
Opening the Registry Editor

- Now, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\OEMInformation. If this branch does not exist, create it.
This is the location where you should arrive

- As you can see above, I only have Logo and Manufacturer info. Additional keys can be created, for adding support hours, phone and URL data.

- I changed the Manufacturer data, and now I am going to add a new String Value, called SupportURL.
All changes are done

- To see the changes, simply open the System applet again and check your new support information!

At last, I must add that, if you want to add support hours and phone, you have to create and change 2 string values called SupportHours and SupportPhone. Before I go, one more thing - if you are afraid of editing your registry, then be really careful, and ask someone who did it before if you run into a dead end!
