On September 21, 2009, seller Mitchell Cohen released "Hard Drive - File Storage and Document viewing" computer software for iPod touch and iPhone running the second and third operating system for the iPhone mobile platform. This application is excellent for not only storing important data, but also transport it to destination, or retrieve it on the way and view it on your iPod touch display or even on your iPhone display. "Hard Drive - File Storage and Document viewing" is the safeties way to transport all the private data of your company or even your personal information, which should be available only for your eyes and ears only. How does it work?
"Hard Drive - File Storage and Document viewing" is a computer software which takes a part of the storage memory and creates on it a software hard drive. Also the application will create a file server on your Apple device with iPhone operating system (either second or third software). In the next step the application will allow you to import on the newly created hard storage drive any folder or data you would like to have on your iPod touch and iPhone. You can use both cable connection and Wi-Fi connection to transfer files between your iPod touch or iPhone and your computer. On your computer the whole process will be displayed using a web browser interface. "Hard Drive - File Storage and Document viewing" is not a one computer - one device application. You can easily connect your iPod touch or iPhone with any computer you would like to import data in, or maybe export data out.

Thanks to the web browser interface, you don't have to install anything on the computers used for pairing with your iPod touch and iPhone. Also you can view any of the files stored in the "hard drive" right on the iPhone or iPod touch screen. This feature is, however, limited. You have to check first if the files you want to view using this application directly from your device are supported by the operating system.

The office documents supported are: the PDF documents, Microsoft Excel 2003 and 2007 with both extensions, both types of Microsoft Power Point presentations (2003 and 2007), spreadsheets in xls and xlsx extensions from the Excel 2003 and 2007, and the most important, Microsoft Word documents (2003 and 2007 file extensions). The supported image files are quite common. Therefore, you shouldn't have any problems with compatibility issues (from jpg and jpeg, to even png image format). Depending on the operating system found on your iPod touch and iPhone, you can easily view other documents using the "Hard Drive - File Storage and Document viewing".

For a better usability, the developer integrated both visualizing modes: landscape mode, and portrait mode. Also feel free to use the zooming feature when viewing documents. All the maneuverability found on the iPhone operating system is found on the "Hard Drive - File Storage and Document viewing" application, making the user experience extremely good. If you aren't yet convinced of the great features provided by this application, you should know that it works with the latest Windows operating systems (7, Vista, XP, with any category, Home Editions or Business), and the latest Mac operating systems, including the latest Snow Leopard. This application is easy to use and very useful. If you need a separate hard drive for saving all the important documents, then the "Hard Drive - File Storage and Document viewing" is what you are looking for. You can find this application on the App Store with the latest version (3.1.1) for only $3.99, price tag.
