Kodak EasyShare Software

Photos are instant in our lives that are immortalized on paper or digital support. Nowadays photography is no longer something that only a few professionals have access to, but most people can make photos every time they want to, as digital cameras are now affordable and easy to use, unlike in the past when you had to go to a specialized photo shop to do this. Well, digital cameras also have a menu and some other functions displayed, so there must be some software in there allowing you to organize, edit and even share your digital photos.

Kodak EasyShare Software was initially meant for the Kodak Easy Share photo camera, but it turned out to work just fine on all kinds of other cameras, too. In fact I read somewhere that one in five users of this software actually owns a different brand camera. It is very easy to use and offers a lot of handy applications, though it may not be such a good idea to be used by professional photographers as it does not offer very refined and sophisticated features.

Its very easy and intuitive interface makes it perfect for beginners allowing you to immediately load the photos from the camera on your computer by simply adding the photos you select to transfer to the Add Pictures Wizard. Besides, this software is totally free and therefore at handy to download it. You can use this software to organize the photos on your camera into virtual albums and it allows for example a single photo to be added to different albums, if you choose it and does not tie pictures to their albums or create only one album. Kodak EasyShare software is user-friendly , intuitive and very efficient.

It provides a big number of editing tools like: crop, rotate, adjust colour balance or you can even remove the red-eye from your photos or add effects to them. However it is limited in features when compared to other similar software like Picasa to give an example. That is exactly why I said it is OK to be used by beginners or average photographers, but not by professionals or advanced users of photographic devices.

It is easy to use when you want to email or print your photos or even upload them to online services or web sites. It is also free to share your photos on the online specialized photo gallery offered by Kodak company on its official web site. You can use the Kodak one touch print package to set all the photos on your camera into printing dimensions and optimum settings.

The To do list or Address book are two of the most useful features, too, making your job a lot easier when you want to share your photos with your friends via email or when you want to be reminded who to send pictures on different occasions. In conclusion this software is very easy and simple at the same time, offering the basic features for organizing and editing photos. However, if you are looking for more, maybe you should look somewhere else.
