Office 2007 SP1 Is Ready, and Windows XP SP3 Is Almost There

Rather than expecting Vista's first service pack, I am sure that more people are expecting the third service pack for XP, and that's for a good reason - except some real improvements, less important then Microsoft claims, Windows XP is still the operating system of the day. After all, DirectX 10 games still work much better when using DirectX 9, and even high end video cards take a serious performance hit when running them... and let's not forget about the fact that Vista still uses a very old file system, but let's get back to our service pack, because XP SP3 is just around the corner!
Windows XP SP3

First step took by Microsoft was to publish an overview of the third service pack for Windows XP, making it available to the public, without any restrictions, on their website. The files can be downloaded from here, and they are boiling hot at this time, so if you grab them now, you have some serious chances to be the first one in the neighbourhood to have this information...

Today's downloads from Microsoft also include the final SP1 for Office 2007, but the XP SP3 download is not a final version yet, being labeled as Windows XP SP3 RC1 Build 3244. Good... now there's only one question remaining - where to get them from?

First of all - here you have the SP3 update, a package that weighs 336MB, the one that most analysts see as the last Release Candidate, before the final version becomes available.

At last, the update to Office 2007 can be downloaded using this link, and the details about it can be grabbed from here.

These being said, I bid you a fast and steady download!
