Best Dvd Burning Software

You use it almost every week, or in some cases every day, but did you ever asked yourself if your DVD burning software is the best? Well I did, and I found out that my Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 is not in the top ten unfortunately. There are many DVD burning software products about I never heard, like DVD Fab, Power2Go, My DVD, DVD Cloner, in the top ten. People say that the best DVD Burning Software is the Nero Burning ROM.

And I have to agree with them, because a few years ago, when I bought a new DVD writer they gave me an original copy of Nero Burning ROM 7. And I had no problem with the software. It didn’t ruin the discs and it really did its job. But unfortunately when I bought a new computer, the Nero Burning ROM 7 wasn’t able to run in Windows 7. So I tried the Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 because it is free and I heard that it’s almost the same as Nero Burning ROM. To be honest it wasn’t as good as the Nero Burning ROM, but it wasn’t bad at all. With the Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 you can burn CDs, DVDs and also Blu-Ray discs, which I find it amazing since it’s for free. You can also erase discs, backup or restore files and folders, copy CD/DVD/Blu-ray discs and create or burn disc images.

The new Nero Burning ROM costs $49,99 but I’m pretty sure that worth the money. The advantage with the Nero Burning ROM is that you can create CD and DVD case covers, and it’s really easy to use. And if there is a bright side then there has to be a dark side too, so the disadvantage of the Nero Burning ROM is that you can not burn Blu-ray discs only if you buy the Nero Multimedia Suite 10, then you can convert files and do almost everything including burning Blu-ray discs.

Some of my friends use Corel DVD Copy 6 Plus for burning DVDs and I had to ask them why, because I never heard of it. They say that this is the cheapest DVD burning software that does its job really well. They can burn data, folders, files, DVD video, VDVD, SVDVD, dual layered discs, and they can compress DVD-9 to DVD-5 and supports the latest HD formats. The disadvantage of this software is that you cannot erase rewritable discs, you cannot rip CDs, and you cannot create image files in ISO format.

The Corel DVD Copy Plus 6’s image file format is CDI. Does it really worth it for $19,99? Of course it does. So I think I should try this one, but wait; does this run on Windows 7? No it doesn’t. At least I couldn’t find any information about it. So maybe the best DVD burning software for Windows 7 is the Ashampoo Burning Studio 6? Or Nero Burning ROM 10 is the best solution?

Free Recording Software

When it comes to digital recording, good software is needed alongside the equipment. Surely enough, there are a lot of options out there – some better, some worse. But most of them require you to pay in order to use them and their whole features. However, you may be disappointed in finding out that there are a number of free recording software available for download on the internet and some of them pack the same amount of recording and editing options as do the ones you would otherwise have to pay for.

FreeCorder is the first we’re going to have a look at. This software is mainly focused on recording the sound output of your speakers. Also, it can record the sound input from your microphone. After that it lets you save the recording in MP3 format, which is really a plus due to the fact that in this manner you can store a large recording at a fair quality of sound in a very small space, due to the compression used. Also, the last version of the software is also equipped with playback options and you can integrate it in your browser and download videos from the vast number web pages that have such videos available.

Free HI-Q Recorder is another in the branch of free recording software. It mainly focuses on streaming audio, webcasts and Internet Radio, thus being a great tool for an iPod or MP3 player user. It has some very basic options when it comes to recording, but that only makes it a simple tool that delivers the job. Also, it can be used to record meetings or DVD sounds. As well as FreeCorder, it has a built-in conversion tool that can also tap in and convert to most formats even audio tracks from video files, which gives it a plus. Also, when you decide to output the recording into an MP3 file, it lets you set up the Bitrate and weather you’d like it in mono or stereo.

But if you truly wish to feel like you have a fully-functional free recording software, both easy to use but also directed to a more in-depth recording experience, then surely Audacity is the way to go. This software has been out there for some time now, and due to the welcomed implication of its users (feedback, bug reports) has grown into a strong application for recording and editing sound. The basic features of the program are easy to use, and they come in a variety of available languages including a user manual. This software not only lets you record just about everything, but right after you’re done recording, it lets you edit before outputting it to a file (it can handle a lot of output digital audio formats). So you can practically remove or add to your recording so that the finished audio file will sound exactly how you want it to.

The sound editor is very complex and still easy to use due to a large number of effects you can add to the sound file. Using Audacity, you’re also able to import already owned files and tamper with them just about anyhow you wish to. Only downside to it is that it does not support MIDI files, due to it working only on actual audio. But the other amazing options that come for free in this amazingly complex packed recording software are something worthwhile to have a look at.
