Prepare for Mobile Firefox!

As Firefox gets to score more and more points in the struggle for the Web browsers market supremacy, Mozilla Corporation looks forward and aims even higher. What are they going to do next? Well, if you look around, you can figure out pretty easy... but let's say it loud: Firefox will be on your mobile phone in a year or two, and "there's nothing you can do about it"!

Rumors are that Mozilla hired two developers to join the team working on this future mobile Firefox already, but the plans are not as I expected. Why? The problem is that, according to various sources, the mobile version of the most notorious fox in the world won't be available earlier than in a year from now on...
As the second Firefox platform is between the hammer and the anvil of the programmers at Mozilla, the focus during its development will move slightly towards offering features common with the mobile version, or at least support for interaction with mobile phones, like bookmark synchronization.
Since in early 2007, Minimo became available for Windows Mobile devices, it doesn't take much to figure out that the mobile Firefox should work on Apple's iPhone. In fact, this is "a must", in my opinion.
Of course, this are only speculations at this time, so we have another interesting story to follow in the coming months. Stay close, because we'll keep you in touch!
