Well, actually it is all possible if you choose to live in Second Life. This is a virtual world that was released in 2003 by linden lab in San Francisco and is only accessible via an internet connection.
It represents a 3D virtual continent with many countries that have the same names as the countries in the real world. People go to work just like in the real world and they live in cities with real names. Even big companies like Toyota and Chanel have chosen to have a representative in the Second life: virtual cars and virtual perfumes. You choose your character which is called and avatar and move from one place to another, interact with people and even play games or watch movies or listen to music.
But , except for the internet connection, you also need Second Life software that enablez you to create three dimensional things and do all the things that are possible in the Second Life world. There isn't much to say about Second Life software, because it is offered for free by the producing company of the game and it can be downloaded from many web sites like this one or this one. The first five days of using your Second life account are free, but after that you must pay $15 every month.
Even though you can find it in many web sites, it is better to download this software from the official site of the producer, that is www.secondlife.com. This way you can be sure it is the genuine product and it is also safe and secure. There is no beginner mode , but you have a pretty long tutorial when you first use your account and this teaches you how to handle things in Second life.
However, if there are any features that you may think are missing, you can always import them from third party applications like Emerald.
