Warez Brothers Imprisoned

Stealing is bad. Piracy is stealing, so piracy is bad - this is the obvious. But how bad is piracy, after all? Should those caught in the act be sent to prison? My opinion is that the pretty big fines they get should be enough, but it seems this is not what everyone thinks, especially the judges in charge with such cases...

This Friday, two brothers were sentenced to prison terms, as an addition to some big fines. The reason - they were selling "massive" amounts of pirated software online, according to the US Department of Justice.
The younger brother, Maurice A. Robberson, 48 years old, got no less than 3 years in prison, and was also ordered to pay US$855,917 as restitution, while his brother, Thomas K. Robberson, 55, was sentenced to 30 months in prison and ordered to pay "only" $151,488 restitution, in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Thomas sold software with a value of almost $1million through Bestvalueshoppe.com and TheDealDepot.net, for a total income of over $150,000, while his brother used CDsalesUSA.com and AmericanSoftwareSales.com to gross more than $855,000, for software with a retail value of nearly $5.6 million.
"People who steal the intellectual property of others for their personal financial gain, while defrauding consumers who think they are buying legitimate products, will be punished for their crimes, as today's sentences prove," said Assistant Attorney General Alice S. Fisher. Need I say more?

The Escalation team counsler was told the same thing by the helpful person at my Lenders Loan modifiction department. So it was verified that they were not following the guidelines. Keep records, names, reference numbers of calls, fax records it helps.
Don’t stop here either contact your state Dept. Of Banking and Finance, send your situation in an email to your Senators, Representatives and even the White House. You must fight for your right to have this. The banks are the ones that are stopping this! Why I don’t know since they will only lose money if they continue to get forclosures!
