After all, this doesn't mean they are going to take out support for XP at the same time. I don't like Vista, but I can't say it's a complete mess. Just like XP, if you tune it right, you can get much more out of it than you get with the default settings. Anyway, I must agree that the new interface is a mess, at least for some of us - others think Vista looks great, so... SP3 doesn’t mean they are changing the plan to pull back XP from retail outlets. Along with that Microsoft is also coming with Windows 7.. that gives me a quite strong point to keep my heads cool and stick to XP rather than wondering onto Vista.. which is a complete mess in itself..
